Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Cook to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of food preparation and service. Responsibilities

  • Lead the kitchen team in daily operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes skill development.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with catering teams for special events, ensuring all dietary needs are met.
  • Maintain high standards of food handling and safety protocols throughout the kitchen.
  • Monitor kitchen performance metrics to enhance efficiency and quality of service.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the culinary field, preferably as a Head Cook
  • Extensive background in dietary department operations or as a dietary aide is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and fine dining service.
  • Familiarity with catering services and experience in restaurant environments is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills and meal preparation techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is essential.
