Hawkins Construction is looking for a
motivated, hands-on Construction Research Assistant
to support our innovation in recycled concrete aggregate and sustainable material technologies. This role combines
fieldwork, laboratory testing, academic coordination, and engineering support
—perfect for someone who's gritty, energetic, and eager to make an impact.

Type:
Full-Time, On-Site

What You'll Do:


• Produce carbonated aggregate and operate equipment (skid loader, compressor, generator)


• Perform QC testing (LA abrasion, crush value, aggregate testing)


• Maintain lab equipment and field testing procedures


• Collaborate with UNO researchers and review third-party technical studies


• Conduct market research for recycled concrete opportunities


• Support engineering and design efforts with external partners

What You Bring:


• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field


• Experience with construction materials testing and QC procedures


• Strong work ethic, adaptability, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Preferred:
Experience with RCA, carbonated aggregate, sustainability technologies, landfill or recycling operations, or environmental compliance
