Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will support various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. This role is essential in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring that our HR processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities.
- Support employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization.
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data entry to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Administer benefits programs and assist employees with inquiries regarding their benefits.
- Collaborate with management on performance management initiatives, including employee evaluations and training & development programs.
- Facilitate communication between employees and management regarding employee relations issues.
- Assist in the implementation of change management strategies to support organizational development.
- Support workforce management efforts by analyzing data related to talent acquisition and retention.
- Ensure compliance with FMLA, OSHA, affirmative action planning, and other employment & labor laws.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
Skills
- Strong understanding of human capital management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law, including FMLA and OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency in talent acquisition strategies and employee evaluation processes.
- Experience with project management and organizational design.
- Familiarity with HR sourcing techniques, benefits administration, and workforce management tools.
- Proficient in using HRIS systems such as Workday, Paychex, Dayforce, Oracle HCM, ADP, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels.
- Ability to manage conflict effectively while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Experience with social media management for recruitment purposes is a plus.
- Administrative experience in an HR setting is preferred.
