We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, facilities, and systems to maximize uptime and safety. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment, supporting our commitment to quality and operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and building infrastructure to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify root causes efficiently.
- Perform repairs including welding, electrical wiring, component replacements, and mechanical adjustments to restore equipment functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for tracking work orders and asset history.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and appealing environment.
- Supervise or assist with team members during maintenance projects while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Read technical schematics and mechanical drawings to execute precise repairs or modifications as needed.
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment is running optimally with minimal downtime.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for maintenance support.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
- Hands-on welding skills with the ability to perform metal repairs safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to electrical work, welding, and general facilities maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for guiding junior team members or overseeing projects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and mechanical instructions accurately.
