Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Warehouse and Production Manager to lead our warehouse operations, packaging assembly, and production workflows. This role is responsible leading a team of approximately 45 employees, including 4 direct reports, ensuring that daily operations meet quality, efficiency, and delivery standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, a customer-service mindset, and a solid foundation in lean manufacturing principles. Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a focus on continuous improvement are key traits for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse & Production Operations

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse, packaging, and assembly operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate order entry, processing, and fulfillment.
• Manage production schedules to meet customer demand and company targets.
• Develop and enforce operational best practices to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

Inventory & Logistics

• Maintain accurate inventory levels through monitoring, audits, and reporting.
• Oversee receiving, storage, and shipment of materials and finished products.
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries to ensure on-time performance.
• Implement systems to reduce waste and optimize warehouse space utilization.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 45 employees, including 4 direct reports.
• Provide performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and support career development.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health, and safety regulations.

Vendor & Purchasing Management

• Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to optimize cost savings.
• Issue and track purchase orders (POs) for materials, equipment, and services.
• Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to align purchasing with business needs

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse, production, or operations management.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing execution systems (MES) is a plus.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred:

• Experience in the packaging industry, particularly in assembly or corrugated packaging operations.
• Hands-on involvement in ERP system implementation or transition.
• Familiarity with warehouse management principles and operations.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or formal lean training.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Job Setting / Environment:

• This position is performed in an environmentally controlled building. Prolonged periods walking.
• Location: On-site
