How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Provide reliable support for the San Jose Firmware System Integration Test (SIT) lab, including setup of test equipment and optical components.
  • Conduct manual testing for project use cases and investigate customer-related issues in the lab.
  • Enhance existing Python scripts and design new test cases to meet project requirements.
  • Automate testing processes on the PACE test platform using Python.
  • Analyze test reports to allocate firmware bug responsibilities effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline testing workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies relevant to optical firmware testing.
  • Document test procedures and results for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Key Skills And Experience
Must-Have:

  • Proficient in Python programming
  • Experience with optical communication concepts
  • Hands-on experience in a lab environment for hardware and software testing
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

Nice-To-Have:

  • Familiarity with optics testing methodologies
  • Experience in test report analysis for firmware bug allocation
  • Knowledge of network node setups and configurations
  • Ability to design and implement automated test cases
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration
