Hooks Meng & Clement (HMC) is looking for an Associate Attorney to join our growing Las Vegas office. Our firm specializes in Industrial Litigation, representing a diverse clientele, including employers, insurers, and third-party administrators.

Compensation:

Annual Salary of $100,000+

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in court and before government agencies.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence, as well as conduct thorough legal research on each case.
  • Strategize and plan with clients and cases, ensuring meticulous attention to detail in every case.
  • Make sure that case files are up-to-date and organized by daily use of electronic case management system, Filevine.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, not just representation.
  • Paying attention to industry trends and developments, while staying informed on Nevada statutes and regulations.
  • Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment and under multiple deadlines.
  • Must be able to meet or exceed monthly billing requirement.
  • Daily use of electronic legal billing software (Clio).

Qualifications:

  • Member is in good standing with the Nevada State Bar.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and dependable.
  • Strategize and work collaboratively on a team, but also work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases with multiple deadlines.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Careful and deliberate in planning and strategizing with clients.
    This is an in-office position, so you must live in the Southern Nevada area.
