Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate 2 engine lathes and a milling machine to produce precision parts, ensuring quality standards are met. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining our reputation for excellence in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder manufacturing and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining tools to produce high-precision components.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to verify dimensions.
  • Read, interpret and create technical drawings and blueprints accurately for proper machining procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by properly handling hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members on assembly processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role with knowledge of machining processes.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings confidently.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Experience operating precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and bore gauges.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles for ensuring part accuracy within tight tolerances.
  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools and tooling setups safely and efficiently.

Pay: $ $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
