Massage Therapist

Compensation: Commission plus Tips & Flat hourly rate for unbooked time

About Us: Under new ownership as of July 2024, Mountain Escape Luxury Spa & Boutique reopened this October 2024 after a full remodel as well as a brand and service refresh. We are a luxury and premier spa offering massage, skincare, hair, nail and other beauty treatments. We are dedicated to creating the best client experience possible which will require building the best team of passionate, talented and hospitality driven professionals.

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in various massage techniques, possess excellent communication skills, and be dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a range of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and other therapeutic modalities.
• Assess clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion.
• Develop and propose client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used.
• Provide clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening, overall relaxation, and how to improve their posture.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records of treatments and progress.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the therapy rooms.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and health and safety regulations.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by effectively addressing client concerns and ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with other wellness professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans for clients.

Qualifications:

• Certification from an accredited massage therapy program.
• State licensure to practice massage therapy.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical tasks required for delivering massage therapy treatments.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds.
