Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Helpdesk Support Technician to join our IT team. This role is responsible for providing first-line technical support to internal users, preparing and imaging computers, assisting with Office 365 applications, and escalating issues when needed. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and committed to delivering excellent end-user support.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical support requests via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT staff when necessary.
  • Image, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Provide setup and onboarding support for new users, including device prep and access provisioning.
  • Assist users with Microsoft 365 (O365) applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and OneDrive.
  • Maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions using the ticketing system.
  • Support users in the field as needed, including remote support and occasional on-site visits.
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and assist with asset tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and security practices.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, etc.) preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Windows OS, computer hardware, and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the IT field.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Customer-service mindset with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Salary:

$18.00 hourly rate. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
