University Simulation Lab Assistant

Reporting to the Director of the Simulation Lab, the Simulation Lab Assistant supports the daily operations of the lab, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment for nursing students. This role involves operating high-tech simulation equipment, managing lab setups, and providing technical and administrative support to faculty and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain audiovisual and simulation equipment, including human patient simulators.
- Set up and break down supplies and equipment for skills labs and simulation scenarios.
- Assist with scheduling simulation activities and maintaining inventory.
- Provide technical support and training to faculty on simulation tools and equipment.
- Ensure lab safety standards are upheld, including needle and medication safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and software updates on simulation equipment.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of nursing or simulation lab equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience in a healthcare-related field.
- Experience with audiovisual or computerized simulation equipment.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant is a plus.
