DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position performs highly responsible professional and administrative work in the field of psychology including behavioral health to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism at the center. Your duties will include directing the psychological services department and oversee the development of policies, procedures, and program evaluations. You will ensure compliance with Intermediate Care Facility regulations so that federal funding for the center is maintained. Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, and assigning departmental projects while guiding staff training and professional development. Additionally, you will supervise and evaluate staff performance and encourage continuous growth by keeping them informed of new developments in the field. This role requires independence, strong leadership, and collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services to achieve departmental goals and deliver meaningful psychological support to residents.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or a Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities and/or behavioral dysfunction.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess a current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possess of a current license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out of state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
