Overview

We are seeking a detail-driven and technically proficient Device Characterization Engineer to lead the development and implementation of test and characterization plans for a wide range of semiconductor devices and passive components. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our electronic components meet stringent performance, quality, and reliability standards across their intended operating conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test and characterization plans for semiconductor devices (e.g., diodes, transistors, ICs) and passive components (e.g., capacitors, resistors, inductors).
  • Design and implement automated and manual test setups using lab instruments (oscilloscopes, SMUs, LCR meters, network analyzers, etc.).
  • Define and measure key electrical parameters such as IV curves, ESR, capacitance, leakage, gain, noise, and breakdown voltage.
  • Analyze test data to determine trends, performance consistency, and deviations from specification.
  • Collaborate closely with design, reliability, and quality teams to support product development and qualification.
  • Develop custom test fixtures and procedures to streamline testing of new or unique devices.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, ensuring accurate and repeatable measurements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • .3+ years of experience in component or semiconductor testing and characterization.Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of both active and passive component behavior and test methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using lab instruments and scripting tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW) for test automation and data analysis.
  • Experience with device modeling and parametric analysis is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
