Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery School Teacher to instruct and nurture 3-4-year-old children in a vibrant early childhood education setting. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for fostering young children's development, creating engaging learning environments, and supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Experience with curriculum development, classroom management, and early intervention strategies is highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners during their formative years. Support for a Christian education and teaching is helpful as well.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques.
  • Utilize classroom management skills to organize activities that promote social skills, cooperation, and independence among children.
  • Conduct assessments of children's developmental progress using standardized testing methods and document findings for parent communication.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare, private school, or similar educational settings is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and practices, including experience with toddler care and literacy education.
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies tailored for young children.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and administrative staff.
  • Interest in a Christian School environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 – 15 per week
