The LCSW will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients in acute distress or crisis situations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients, including case management and referrals as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including intake forms, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Engage in clinical research activities and data collection to contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices.
- Offer specialized counseling services for children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health disorders such as PTSD and addiction.
- Provide home and community care services as necessary, ensuring accessibility for all clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge of current best practices in social work.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution; must hold a valid LCSW license.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient patient record management.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with autism, and those requiring special education services.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding practices related to mental health diagnoses.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
- Knowledge of crisis management techniques and experience in providing crisis intervention services.
