HIRING IMMEDIATELY - MECHANIC (Rental Equipment Mechanic)

Prior experience working as a mechanic, auto mechanic, small engine mechanic, equipment mechanic, diesel mechanic, diesel technician, or tool rental mechanic is required.

POSITION LOCATION: Bridgeport, CT

Shift: 6:30 am-4:00 pm, Monday - Friday

Pay: $28-32/hr. (depending on prior experience)

Job Description:

Repairs can run from basic PM's to more in-depth repairs on the following equipment:

  • Small engine repairs - (Stihl equipment)
  • Plate tampers, Jumping Jacks (exciters, etc., Multi Quip, Wacker Neuson)
  • Compact Track Loaders (tracks, rollers, idlers, hydraulic lines)
  • Mini Excavators (hydraulic lines, tracks, pistons)
  • Rollers (Cat cb1.8, Wacker RD12's)
  • Cut off saws and road saws
  • Chippers (blade replacement, drums, unclogging, etc.)
  • Stump Grinder (teeth replacement, wheel adjustment)
  • Air Compressors
  • Equipment trailers (bearings, brakes, wiring)
  • Troubleshoot problems through performing diagnostics
  • Effectively and efficiently repair/rebuild components
  • Inspect machine condition upon arrival and notify appropriate personnel of any damage
  • Prep equipment for delivery to customers, as instructed
  • Complete all necessary documentation for repairs
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner

QUALIFICATIONS for a Rental Mechanic:

  • Minimum 3+ years mechanical/technical repair experience required (heavy construction or related equipment experience a plus)
  • Prior experience working as a mechanic, auto mechanic, small engine mechanic, equipment mechanic, diesel mechanic, diesel technician, or tool rental mechanic is required
  • Reliable employee with strong work ethic
  • Ability to multitask & be highly organized, with the ability to be competent in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in computer applications and software
  • Clean & valid driver's license required

Essential Physical Job Qualifications for a Rental Mechanic/Yard Worker:

  • Standing and walking
  • Lifting (up to 60lbs.)
  • Carrying (up to 50lbs.)
  • Push/pull (up to 80lbs.)
  • Sitting, rotation and forward bending (sitting and standing)
  • Hand coordination and reaching
  • Grip (30lbs. with both hands, 80lbs. with preferred/single hand)
  • Foot pedal operation
  • Crawling, low work (kneeling), and awkward positioning
  • Outdoor work (as required)
