Indianapolis, Indiana, United States Mondelez Manufacturing Full time
Is this you?
  • Do you thrive in a fast-paced food plant where safety, food safety, and quality are non-negotiable?
  • Can you read electrical schematics and ladder logic, then act decisively with the right test equipment?
  • Are you comfortable toggling between CMMS work orders, proactive reliability tasks, and urgent line calls?
  • Do you enjoy partnering with operators, quality, and engineering to keep production humming?
What you will do
  • Champion required company and regulatory programs—make compliance part of the culture.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance and reliability tasks through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Lead the charge on proactive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Deliver top-tier customer service to your teammates and collaborate across departments.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support the operation.
Electrical and controls focus
  • Interpret schematics, diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Read and apply ladder logic.
  • Use electrical troubleshooting devices safely and effectively.
  • Preferred: Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix PLCs, Remote I/O, and VFD experience.
  • Preferred: Industrial networking exposure.
  • Preferred: HMIs including AB PanelView and Wonderware.
  • Preferred: Servo and motion controls.
  • General electronic troubleshooting skills.
Mechanical systems you'll support
  • Mechanical drive systems and conveyance systems.
  • PD and centrifugal pumps.
  • High-speed rotating equipment.
  • Pneumatic conveying systems.
  • Mechanical system troubleshooting, welding, pneumatics, and lubrication.
  • Preventive maintenance task execution with CMMS usage.
Packaging, process, and utilities in our plant

  • Horizontal wrapping machines.
  • Robotic packaging systems and robotic palletizing.
  • Inkjet printers, case printers, and print-and-apply pallet labelers.
  • Vision systems and barcode scanners.
  • Metal detecting systems.
  • Boilers, air compressors, and ammonia compressors.
Tools beyond the toolbox
  • Excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel) and MS Outlook for scheduling and communication.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum 2 years in industrial maintenance with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain a fully automated production facility.
  • Electro-Mechanical or Industrial Electronics and Maintenance technical degree preferred.
  • Experience with high-speed packaging machinery preferred; food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies preferred.
  • Strict adherence to safety and Lockout/Tagout programs.
  • Strong team-based problem-solving; works extremely well with people from varied departments.
  • Comfort using hand and power tools.
  • Weekend work or overtime may be required as determined by management.
Core proficiencies
  • PLC troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
A quick scenario

The line pauses with a servo fault. You trace the issue through the HMI (PanelView), validate signals over Remote I/O, check the VFD, confirm ladder logic states, replace a failed sensor, and document the repair in the CMMS—then brief operators on the fix and preventive measures. That's a win for safety, quality, and uptime.
