Our Family Practice Great Oaks is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join their team

The hours are Monday 10:30am-7pm, Tuesday-Thursday 9:30-6pm, Friday 9am-530pm, rotating Saturdays 8:30am-1pm  

**This position is eligible for up to a $1,000 recruitment and retention bonus**

The primary role of this position is to room patients, obtain vitals, accurately document in patient records, and maintain timely patient flow throughout the day. 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Document verbal conversations and information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
  • Obtain patient signature on Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN) according to Medicare requirements.
  • Maintain timely patient flow.
  • Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
  • Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
  • Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
  • Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
  • Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.

Compensation: $ $22.00 per hour

Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Previous medical/clinical experience.
  • Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians/providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
