Disability Analyst Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Disability Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating foster care case files, both medical and non-medical evidence, to determine potential eligibility for SSI childhood disability according to federal SSA regulations. Candidates for this position should possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and provide daily oversight to a team of Disability Analysts responsible for evaluating medical and non-medical evidence for SSI childhood disability cases.
• Oversee the review and analysis of complex case files, including financial, medical, and educational records to ensure accurate and timely assessments.
• Provide guidance and support to staff in conducting caregiver interviews and gathering critical information on the functional impact of the child's impairments.
• Review and approve documentation and forms prepared for submission to the SSA, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines and internal quality standards.
• Monitor team performance, set goals, conduct performance evaluations, and implement improvement plans as necessary.
• Ensure team compliance with confidentiality and data security policies in handling sensitive information.
• Lead team meetings and represent the team in stakeholder engagements and interdepartmental meetings.
• Stay current on SSA policy changes, federal regulations, and industry best practices; provide relevant updates and training to team members.
• Collaborate with internal leadership to develop process improvements, streamline operations, and enhance overall service quality.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare, social services, disability review, or government consulting setting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex medical/educational documentation and regulatory criteria.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and tools for document and workflow management.
• Familiarity with SSA disability programs and regulations is highly preferred.
