About Ludeo
Ludeo is a hyper-growth startup in the gaming industry that is revolutionizing the way players discover and engage with games. Now and for the first time, gamers can share their most thrilling gameplay moments with everyone and everywhere and allow others to PLAY them, not only watch them as video clips.
Ludeo's vision is to become the world's first playable social media platform for gamers, where they can frictionlessly discover gaming content.
About the role
We're seeking a seasoned Game Architect with deep experience in analyzing, designing, and planning gameplay and systems architecture for AAA games. In this role, you'll be responsible for evaluating existing game codebases and architectures, identifying optimal integration strategies for Ludeo's proprietary technology, and leading the technical planning and oversight of the integration process. You'll collaborate closely with internal engineers and external development teams to ensure that every integration is architecturally efficient and production-ready.
This is a highly technical role requiring broad systems thinking and a proactive mindset. You'll be responsible for building scalable architecture, save/load systems, and networking solutions, even for games that weren't originally built with those features in mind. You'll also need to think creatively to solve complex technical challenges and develop internal tools to streamline future integrations.
What you'll do
- Architect Core Systems: Design and implement systems—especially save/load and state restoration—that support rapid and frequent game state capture with minimal performance overhead.
- Integrate Ludeo Tech: Work closely with partner teams to embed Ludeo's technology into games using various engines, ensuring high performance and predictable timelines.
- Tool Development: Build internal tools and reusable components to solve common integration and gameplay challenges.
- Innovate & Problem-Solve: Devise out-of-the-box solutions for complex technical problems across a variety of platforms and engine architectures.
- Be Hands-On: Validate architectural decisions through prototyping and deep engagement with the codebase.
- 10+ years of professional game development experience.
- Proven track record on at least two shipped AAA titles, with significant contributions to gameplay or systems architecture.
- Deep understanding of game architecture, including gameplay systems, save/load systems, multiplayer networking, and performance tuning.
- Expert-level knowledge of game engines.
- Experience working with custom/proprietary engines.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of articulating complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
