Director of Participant Services

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Antonio, Starlight, and Imperial Sites)

Pay: Starting at $75,000 per year

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

Schedule: Flexible, includes some evenings and weekends

About the Role

B.A.R.E. Truth Inc. is hiring a Director of Participant Services to lead and support engagement staff across multiple homeless shelter sites in Los Angeles. This position oversees daily operations, training, and staff performance for 24/7 programs that serve individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise Client Engagement Specialists, Leads, and Trainers
  • Manage 24/7 staffing schedules and ensure proper site coverage
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and performance evaluations
  • Monitor safety, documentation, and compliance with program standards
  • Review incident reports and HMIS data for accuracy
  • Conduct regular site visits to coach and support staff
  • Work with Operations and Program teams to address challenges and improve systems
  • Participate in hiring, disciplinary actions, and team meetings

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in social services, shelter, or housing programs
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
  • Experience leading 24/7 or multi-site teams preferred
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office, HMIS, and electronic documentation systems
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen

Benefits and Pay
