Job Description: 

•    Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas; mainly in microelectronics.

•    Works in area with hardware marking, PIND, hermetic sealing, Pick and Place, production testing.

•    Operates and programs equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.

•    May assist in the design, construction, test and check-out of manufacturing or test equipment. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.

•    Works from schematics, operating/repair manuals, and engineering drawings.

•    May work with complex machines or computer systems.

•    Fully comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, IPC, MIL-STD, & J-STD knowledge, terms, and documents.

•    Fully proficient individual contributor. Works under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment. 

•    Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. May be a resource to other employees in areas of proficiency.

•    Work may be structured within identified boundaries and procedures. Follows established processes to complete tasks. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Resolves most issues.

•    Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is of moderate scope, typically on larger, task-related activities.

•    Must be flexible in supporting the program needs by being readily available to flex between processes as necessary.  

•    Must be a resource for other employees in areas of expertise, providing on the job training when necessary. 

•    Be able to work under a low & high-power microscope.

•    Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Essential Functions: 

•    Strong ability to follow complex work instructions.

•    Hands-on experience with programming and operating automated systems.

Qualifications:

•    Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

•    Active Secret security clearance upon hire required.


Preferred Additional Skills:

•    Experienced in precision hand soldering for electronic assemblies.

•    Demonstrated dexterity working with micro-scale hardware using microscopes in controlled cleanroom settings.
