Overview

The Production Supervisor must execute the daily production plan. The Production Supervisor will oversee all Assistant Supervisors, Leads, Processors, and Sorters throughout the shift. The Production Supervisor must be able to oversee multiple activities simultaneously and take ownership of the output of each department. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for exhibiting a strong working knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and processes.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for managing production activities and achieving production targets in quality, productivity, efficiency, capacity, safety, cost control and employee professional development
  • Understands and proficiently manages all systems.
  • Lead daily pre-shift meeting, communicate effective production goals and priorities to employees.
  • Works with all departments to ensure all linen required for the daily goal has been processed.
  • Trains all essential personnel in required job duties and cross trains.
  • Coaches team on the set up of processes and procedures.
  • Ensures workstations are setup for each production activity in a manner that correlates with production PPOH
  • Shares recommendations for improvements on safety, equipment, and/or production.
  • Demonstrates leadership during adoption of new processes continually works to identify opportunities to gain efficiency and improve quality in production.
  • Provides verbal and written recaps to production team.
  • Performs written evaluations.
  • Provides key information regarding employee training and performance.
  • Coordinates with Engineering and Customer Service for optimal production and efficiency.
  • Communicates all personnel needs, issues, etc. to Human Resources.
  • Actively involved in Safety.
  • Any other duties as assigned by leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Education:

  • High School or equivalent

Experience:

  • At least 3 year of experience in the field or in a related area

Skills:

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to run and operate all equipment, processes, and systems
  • Open to a flexible schedule

Job Type: Full-time
