Location: The Springs of Pinnacle Mountain (Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation)
Position Overview
As a full‑time SLP at our facility, you will provide high‑quality speech and swallowing therapy to residents in a compassionate, resident‑centered care environment. You'll support individualized rehabilitation plans that enhance communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing assessments. ZipRecruiter
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help residents meet rehabilitation goals (e.g., improve speech, language, cognitive skills, or safe swallowing). ZipRecruiter
- Provide ongoing therapeutic interventions—both individual and group—as appropriate.
- Monitor residents' progress closely and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes accurately and in compliance with facility policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team—including nurses, occupational and physical therapists, physicians, and caregivers—to coordinate care.
- Educate and train staff and family members on therapeutic strategies and carry‑over techniques.
- Ensure all services meet federal, state, and facility quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
- Current state licensure as an SLP (e.g., in Arkansas).
- Certification from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience in a skilled‑nursing or rehabilitation setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
