Position Overview:

We are looking for a Video Editor with a strong instinct for rhythm, pacing, and emotional hooks in short-form narrative content. This role is not limited by traditional continuity rules—footage may be AI-generated or limited, and creative editorial solutions are expected.

Projects may target male, female, or broad audiences, but all rely on clear emotional beats and high viewer retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form narrative videos with a focus on engagement and pacing
  • Build strong opening hooks, escalation, and emotional payoff through editing
  • Be creative when footage is limited or imperfect
  • Prioritize rhythm, impact, and clarity over strict continuity conventions
  • Collaborate with storyboard and AI generation artists to shape final storytelling
  • Iterate quickly based on creative feedback and performance goals
Requirements
  • Strong sense of timing, rhythm, and emotional storytelling
  • Understanding of what makes content attention-grabbing in short-form platforms
  • Comfortable working with non-traditional or AI-generated footage
  • Ability to think creatively under constraints
  • High acceptance of AI-assisted workflows and new technologies
  • Experience editing short dramas, episodic content, anime-style edits, or experimental visuals
  • Familiarity with fast-paced, emotionally driven storytelling formats
  • Interest in evolving short-form and AI-driven content pipelines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to respond constructively to feedback
Benefits

Compensation: This contractor position offers the following monthly rate: $4500
