We are seeking an Entry-Level Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our team. This position is office-based and will support our accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, HR-related tasks, and general office management.

Our company is a real estate investment and property management firm, and this role supports both the rental property business and real estate operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform bookkeeping for rental properties and real estate transactions using Appfolio.
  • Manage accounts receivable/payable.
  • Maintain tenant ledgers, including move-in/move-out entries, unpaid balances, past-due tracking, and collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Delinquency collection.
  • Prepare financial statements and assist with budgeting.
  • Provide other real estate related support as assigned by the Manager.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • 2 + years of experience in the real estate/ property management industry (preferred)
  • knowledge of Appfolio.
  • Is honest, hardworking, and able to pass a background check.
  • Is extremely organized and detail-oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has basic financial and accounting knowledge.
  • Has strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.

The compensation will be DOE
