Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, implement, and manage secure cloud and hybrid environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in Zero Trust architecture, AWS cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity governance. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead incident response efforts, and advise executive leadership on strategic cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the deployment of Zero Trust architectures leveraging Zscaler, Okta, and CrowdStrike across both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Design and implement scalable AWS multi-account infrastructures with centralized transit gateways and security policy enforcement points.
  • Lead incident response and forensic analysis efforts, including organization-wide recovery operations during major security events.
  • Develop and maintain Linux hardening guides and automate compliance baseline implementation aligned with federal cybersecurity standards.
  • Oversee multi-disciplinary Zero Trust modernization teams, coordinating efforts in enterprise logging/SIEM/SOAR, cloud migrations, CI/CD security, and TIC 3.0 compliance.
  • Manage FISMA reporting, POA&M lifecycle, and perform architecture reviews to ensure adherence to federal and organizational security requirements.
  • Serve as a primary cybersecurity advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic guidance on cloud governance, security posture, and incident response planning.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in cloud security architecture, preferably in federal or regulated environments.
  • Expertise with AWS, Zero Trust frameworks, Zscaler, Okta, and CrowdStrike.
  • Strong understanding of federal compliance standards (FISMA, NIST, TIC 3.0).
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience advising C-level executives on cybersecurity strategies.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or equivalent.
