Duties

  • Design and implement comprehensive physical education curricula tailored to diverse student needs and age groups
  • Lead engaging warm-up exercises, sports activities, fitness routines, and team-building games
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and encourage continuous improvement in motor skills and physical fitness
  • Promote safety by ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols during all activities
  • Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect among students
  • Organize extracurricular sports events, competitions, and wellness initiatives to enhance student engagement
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administrators to support student development goals
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, assessments, and progress reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field from an accredited university (preferred experience in university settings)
  • Proven experience teaching physical education at the school or university level is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of age-appropriate physical activities, sports rules, safety standards, and health principles
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all skill levels
  • Ability to create inclusive lesson plans that accommodate diverse abilities and backgrounds
  • Energetic attitude with a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles through active learning
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR
  • Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that emphasizes respect, teamwork, and personal growth
  • English and Spanish
