Overview
Note: (For NJ candidates) This role will be located at our future headquarters in Short Hills, N.J. Until the new headquarters is operational, the successful candidate will be offered the ability to work in our Branchville, N.J. location during this interim period.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer with expertise in .NET and Angular technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and technical leadership. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining full stack applications hosted on both on-prem and cloud platforms, as well as leading a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of full stack solutions using .NET and Angular technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical leadership and support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of innovation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing and developing complex applications
• Proficiency in C# .NET API design and development
• Experience designing and developing Angular and SQL solutions
• Experience designing and developing full-stack business critical enterprise systems
• Experience as a technical leader; leading and mentoring a team of engineers
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working on agile teams and release trains, and knowledge of SAFe, is preferred
• Exposure to Azure cloud technologies, DevOps or Infrastructure-as-Code is a plus
• Property Casualty Insurance experience is a plus

The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.

Pay Range
USD $119, USD $163,000.00 /Yr.
