About the RoleWe are hiring an experienced Backend Software Engineer to play a critical role in scaling ManageCasa's platform and advancing our enhanced features. This role will have a direct, measurable impact on customer experience, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
You will work closely with the CTO and other engineers, developing the backend systems that power our core product, integrations, and emerging AI functionality.
What You'll DoDesign, build, and maintain scalable backend services and core platform featuresCollaborate closely with the team to design, implement, and test internal and external APIsDevelop and support backend systems that enable workflows, automation, and insightsDiagnose and resolve production issues to improve performance, reliability, and customer satisfactionContribute to experimentation, measurement, and continuous improvement in a lean startup environmentWhat We're Looking For3+ years of backend engineering experience at a web-based technology company (startup experience preferred)Expert-level proficiency in Python, preferably using DjangoFamiliarity with AI/ML integrations, such as:Working with AI APIs (LLMs, automation services, or data-driven systems)Supporting AI features through backend pipelines, data processing, or orchestration1–2 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and experimentation or A/B testingStrong knowledge of modern data stores and infrastructure, including:Aurora / MySQLElasticSearch or OpenSearchRedis or similar caching layersStrong project ownership, task prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skillsLocationHybrid roleIn Office Tuesday and Thursday We do not support HIB-
