Senior Director, Sourcing

• Strategic Sourcing:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve the company's cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

  • Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the timely acquisition of materials and services.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the sourcing and procurement functions.

• External Manufacturing Management Establish and NPI products: Oversee the management of external manufacturing partners to ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.

• Procurement:

  • Focus on purchase order (PO) management, inventory control, and ensuring materials arrive on time.

  • Negotiate with suppliers in alignment with the strategic sourcing group.

  • Manage inventory levels to support production needs and minimize excess stock.

• Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.

• Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including supplier performance and market fluctuations.

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage the sourcing and procurement teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

• Process Improvement: Continuously improve sourcing and procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Compliance: Ensure all sourcing and procurement activities comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.

• KPI- build and align goals with the business, build KPI and measure accordingly.

• Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain on sourcing and procurement performance.

Travel: 

20% Domestic and/or International Travel

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management/ENG, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in sourcing and procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the medical device/Pharma industry.

• Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of the medical device industry and regulatory environment.

  • Proven track record of successful sourcing and procurement strategies.

  • Planning Systems: Demonstrated knowledge and experience with planning system implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with global sourcing and supplier management.

• Familiarity with international regulatory requirements and market trends.

• Certification in Supply Chain Management (CSCP) or similar credentials.
