Job Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the financial strategy, leadership, and operations of D & D Garage Doors. This executive-level role partners closely with the CEO to ensure long-term financial sustainability, compliance, and business growth. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in the construction or trade services environment and understands the dynamics of a multi-location, fast-paced organization.

Essential Job Duties:
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals
  • Provide financial insights, forecasts, and analysis to support executive decisionmaking
  • Advise on mergers, acquisitions, capital investments, and strategic planning
Financial Management & Reporting
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and longterm financial planning processes
  • Oversee accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP or applicable standards
  • Monitor key financial metrics, performance indicators, and variance analyses
Accounting & Compliance Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory reporting, and internal control requirements
  • Manage external audits and financial statement preparation
  • Oversee risk management, insurance, and governance policies

Cash Flow & Capital Management

  • Direct cash flow planning, liquidity oversight, and capital allocation
  • Manage banking relationships, financing strategies, and debt obligations
  • Evaluate and optimize the company's capital structure
Leadership & Operational Support
  • Mentor and lead finance, accounting, and administrative team members
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to improve operational efficiency
  • Develop scalable financial processes and implement technology or systems improvements
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement

Job Skills and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
  • CPA or MBA strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, preferably within a construction, contracting, or field service environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate closely with CEOs and executive teams
  • Deep understanding of budgeting, cash flow planning, projectbased accounting, and cost controls
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide and develop crossfunctional teams
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; comfort with datadriven reporting tools
  • Integrity, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality in all financial matters
