Insurance Billing Specialist

Duties:

  • Insurance billing errors, CPT codes, ICD-10, denials, follow-up, etc...
  • Review and analyze medical software billing data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement or corrections
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and see if insurance billing needs any corrections
  • Prepare regular reports on billing activities, including key performance indicators and financial metrics
  • Credentialing and re-credentialing for providers

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in medical coding, billing, AR Follow-up, family practice, ophthalmology, pathology and mental health.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficient in using billing software, EMRs, and other relevant tools
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
