Tax Intern (Data Entry & Administrative Support)Position Overview

We are seeking a Tax Intern to assist our firm during tax season with data entry and administrative support. This role is ideal for a motivated student currently pursuing a degree in accounting, business, or a related field who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional tax practice.

This position is primarily support-focused and does not involve preparing or signing tax returns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter client tax data into professional tax software
  • Organize and scan client documents into electronic files
  • Assist with bookkeeping data entry as needed
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support tax staff and partners
  • Track missing documents and assist with follow-up requests
  • Prepare basic schedules or worksheets under supervision
  • Maintain accurate and organized client files

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an accounting, finance, or business degree (undergraduate or graduate)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning new software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Prior office or accounting-related experience is helpful but not required

Work Schedule

  • Part-time or full-time during tax season, depending on availability
  • Flexible scheduling around class commitments
  • Additional hours may be available during peak periods

Compensation

  • Estimated Pay Range: $18 – $25 per hour
  • Based on academic progress, prior experience, and availability
