Job Overview
The Accounts Payable Clerk (APC) is responsible for all actions related to the payment of association expenses including but not limited to invoices, check requests, payment checks, and inquiries.
The accuracy and timeliness of the Clerk's actions, teamwork and a positive cooperative attitude in the conduct of the Clerk's job are the highest importance.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Prepares and validates invoices for management executive's approval.
· Inputs approved invoices, including check requests and recurring invoices, for payment.
· Process Vendor Approvals.
· Summarizes payments for management executive's approval.
· Prints payment checks and mails with appropriate remittance advice to vendors.
· Ensures adequate funds are available in operating account prior to releasing payment checks. Communicates with management executives for checks that are not released.
· Transfers accounts payable data to the general ledger.
· Maintains accounts payable files, including payment documents and reports.
· Assists others including but not limited to vendors, management executives, auditors and accounting staff.
· Assists in the processing of IRS 1099 MISC returns and real property tax payments.
· Assists in the monitoring of operating cash balances and other cash management functions.
· Gather and input chargeback data.
· Provide invoice copies of utility bills for sub-metered projects as needed for chargeback purposes.
· Ensure adequate supplies are available, including stock checks and MICR ink printer.

Education and/or Experience:
· 2 years College degree with emphasis in accounting, business, or related field and/or 2 years equivalent of equivalent experience
Computer and Software Skills:
· Knowledge in the use of PC applications which includes Microsoft Office, Google Mail, and Chrome

Pay: $ $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
