Position Overview:

Oversee aspects of care in accordance with physician's orders, resident, and family needs.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coach & lead those staff members reporting to Charge LPN - work as one 'Team' to keep things running smoothly.
  • Responsible for dispensing medications to residents.
  • Charting & paperwork - Ensures all reporting requirements are met and completes all required paperwork, i.e. infection control, accident/incident reports, etc.
  • Complete MDS+ on residents per assigned unit(s).
  • Sterile technique / aseptic technique.
  • Skin assessment, Decubitus Care, Dressings / Irrigations, Catheterization, Tropical applications. 

Basic Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists with issues that arise while on duty.
  • Assist with wing staff evaluations.
  • Assist with physician rounds.
  • Working with residents and staff.
  • All other Duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education Required:

  • LPN license

Experience Required:

  • Dispensing meds and Medical aspects. 
  • Previous charge and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent supervisory skills and ability to be a good listener are beneficial to successful performance in this position.
  • Ability to practice choice theory may also be required.
  • Must be able to communicate with staff, residents, and the families of the residents.
  • Resident-focused at all times, while acting as a pleasant professional is essential.
  • Task-centeredness, punctuality, and a pleasant demeanor are beneficial to successful performance in this position.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts. Full job descriptions available in HR.
