The Governance & Operations Manager - Business Resiliency will assist in driving standards from a compliance and quality standpoint, create performance and delivery metrics for the Business Resiliency Management team, as well as assist with the deployment of new tools, systems, and training programs. As part of the Global Program Operations and Quality Assurance team, this individual will put their understanding of business resiliency, risk management, project management and process improvement in practice. This person can expect to interface regularly with business resiliency management senior leadership and partner on a variety of projects and initiatives.
This role reports to the Business Resiliency Program Operations and Quality Assurance Director. Additionally, there is a requirement to work from our NYC office at least three days per week.
We will count on you to:
- Assist in supporting and maintaining a strong business resiliency, preparedness and response environment across Marsh McLennan as part of the global Business Resiliency Management program
- Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of business resiliency policies, procedures and governance documentation
- Support regional Business Resiliency teams in planning, maintaining and implementing the Marsh McLennan's global Business Resiliency Management program
- Project manage global Business Resiliency Management program activities
- Support the development, implementation and deployment of tools and processes for Marsh McLennan's global Business Resiliency Management program
- Support the development and regular maintenance of the Business Resiliency Management training and awareness program
- Support Marsh McLennan's third-party business continuity risk assessment program
- Support KPI and KRI development and reporting, including design of dashboards
- Supports governance, project management, and quality management activities of Marsh McLennan's global Business Resiliency Management program
- Engage in inter-operating company projects, both inter-regional and cross-functional.
What you need to have:
- A Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Risk Management, Business Continuity Planning, Compliance, Audit, Operations, Quality Control, Process Improvement, or a related field
- Understanding of Business Continuity and Business Resiliency Management Programs
What makes you stand out:
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to analyze and create performance metrics and reporting
- High proficiency in MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Excellent communications skills with proven ability to drive initiatives to successful outcomes
- Proficiency with data analysis or analytics
- Experience with implementation and deployment of tools and systems to operationalize new processes and capabilities
- Experience developing centralized training materials and programs
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to compliance, quality standards, and continuous improvement
- Experience with process redesign, improvement and change management
- Working knowledge of AI
- Experience with Fusion, or other GRC platforms, and emergency notification tools a plus.
- PMP certification a plus
- Business continuity certification (CBCP, MBCI) or equivalent is a plus.

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $91,800 to $183,700.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
