Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service, manage time effectively, and maintain food safety standards will contribute to the overall success of our café. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared in compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Restocking, cleaning, and keeping the café area tidy
- Promote daily specials and upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling food products.
Experience
- 1-2 years coffee shop experience is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is a plus.
- A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about various brewing methods is highly valued.
