About Us:

Rheumatology Associates is a well-established specialty medical practice dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team.

Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant will work closely with our providers to assist with patient care, including administering injections, preparing medications, and supporting daily clinical operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking steady part-time hours in a professional and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as ordered by providers
  • Prepare medications and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). We use Eclinical.
  • Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and medication reconciliation
  • Maintain injection supplies and ensure proper storage and handling
  • Support clinical staff with general patient care and room turnover as needed

Qualifications:

  • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
  • Previous experience giving injections required
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Experience with rheumatology or specialty injections (biologics) a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Schedule:

  • Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8:30am - 2:30pm
  • No evenings or weekends
  • Has the ability to turn into a full time role in the future if desired
