A prestigious international law firm is seeking a
Senior Billing Coordinator
to join its finance team in New York City. This role is ideal for a seasoned billing professional with strong experience in legal invoicing, account analysis, and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple complex billing projects across diverse client portfolios.
  • Review outstanding balances and proactively address billing discrepancies.
  • Prepare client invoices and internal documentation with appropriate backup.
  • Coordinate billing efforts with attorneys, legal assistants, and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders with professionalism and clarity.
  • Mentor and train junior billing staff; provide guidance and support across the department.
  • Step into a leadership role during supervisor absences and assist with workflow coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records for partners and clients.
  • Contribute to process improvements and departmental goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree Completed
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal billing experience, including account analysis.
  • Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Aderant, Elite, or 3E) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience mentoring or training team members is a plus.
