Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Box Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves safely transporting paper/recycling material, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, warehouse operations, and route management. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to various locations according to scheduled routes
  • Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols
  • Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and company policies
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including handling inquiries and ensuring proper delivery procedures
  • Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, stock movement, and maintaining organized storage areas
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
  • Follow all safety guidelines related to heavy lifting, moving items, and operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles
  • Warehouse experience including load & unload operations using forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands associated with moving cargo
  • Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and safety regulations
  • Excellent customer service skills with professional communication abilities
  • Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred
  • Prior experience with delivery route management and time-sensitive deliveries is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently, follow schedules precisely, and maintain attention to detail

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
