Account Payable Specialist

D.S. Murphy is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for handling our company's bills and managing our accounts payable ledger. Key duties will include managing outflow cash payments, performing daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. This position requires strong organizational skills, accuracy and a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable's data.
- Reconciling the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verifying discrepancies by and resolving clients' billing issues.
- Facilitating payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Generating financial reports detailing accounts payable status.
Qualifications
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
- Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Specialist.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
