What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents.
• Communicate professionally with the campus community and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and incidents.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of campus policies as directed by site supervisors.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on security-related incidents, patrols, and activities as required by Allied Universal.
• Support emergency preparedness and response efforts as part of campus protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
