As we transition the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) into a standalone business, we seek a strategic Principal/Sr. Staff IT PLM System Architect, PLM Systems. This role is pivotal in shaping our digital future & fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the PLM domain.

Position Overview
The System Architect, Windchill PLM System will oversee and design our enterprise-wide PLM architect including System integration and data migration initiatives ensuring it aligns with business goals and technical needs. This strategic role requires a deep understanding of windchill PLM interface and APIs, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data migration in the context of Windchill, a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, which involves Integration and transferring data from several systems into Windchill. This process is critical for organizations looking to consolidate their product data management and improve their PLM capabilities. Here's an overview of the data migration process and the roles involved:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
  • Understand business requirements and define the scope of the migration.
  • Develop a data mapping strategy to ensure data from the source system aligns with Windchill's data structure.
  • Identify and catalog all data sources, including CAD files, BOMs, documents, Audits, Issues and metadata.
  • Clean and validate data to remove duplicates, errors, and obsolete information.
  • Convert data into formats compatible with Windchill, ensuring consistency and integrity.
  • Lead and define test strategies to identify issues and validate data accuracy.
  • Oversee the migration process and transfer data to Windchill.

This role will provide leadership in implementing and optimizing the PLM solutions to enhance Part, BOMs and several Quality processes, drive business insights, and improve decision-making across the organization. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, Operation, Global IT, and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful deployment of PLM solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive PLM technology strategy & system architect aligned with company goals.
  • Lead and manage PLM integration and data migration implementations, upgrades, and optimizations, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the data migration project, ensuring it stays on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and other stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, and improve key processes and reporting workflows.
  • Serve as the primary contact between business teams, system integrators, and IT teams. Ensure data integrity and quality throughout the migration.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for data migration and interfaces such as ERP, Jira, Calibration, Compliance Regulatory , Suppliers, and several upstream apps
  • Oversee day-to-day operational management of the PTC PLM platform, ensuring system availability, performance, and user adoption. Configure and maintain Windchill environments. Support data migration activities by ensuring system readiness.
  • Lead and mentor a team of PLM professionals, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables for PLM-related initiatives.
  • Work closely with the other teams to ensure integration of PLM solutions with other enterprise systems and data sources.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PLM products, trends, and industry best practices to drive continuous innovation.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of PLM continuous improvement and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with Information security teams to deliver on key areas such as security, performance optimization, infrastructure management, and system integrations.

Salary Range
The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.

$200,400 - $290,100 USD

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/BS or Master's Degree with 15+ years of experience in Information Technology, Computer Science fields.
  • 15 years of experience in PTC Windchill PLM architect, implementation, configuration, interfaces/API, and support.
  • Strong proficiency in PTC PLM and Oracle ERP applications, including Windchill Premium & Advance modules, Thingworx and Navigator, Creo/CAD, CodeBeamer, AML/SUMA, and Reporting engines.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale complex PLM IT projects, including gathering requirements, system architect, design, testing, and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of Engineering, Suppliers, Quality, Reliability processes such as CAD, Part, BOM, Change, Doc, Issue, Audit, AML, Compliance, Reports management capabilities
  • Experience with data integration and interfacing between PLM and other enterprise systems. Like Jira, ERP, and CRMs
  • 15+ years of experience in managing & interaction with 3rd party vendors, content providers, and business stakeholders.
  • 15+ years of experience implementing innovative technology solutions that drive business value. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor industry processes and business requirements.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity, Azure Dell Boomi infrastructure frameworks and suppliers risk management.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions knowledge.
