Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for the culinary arts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative atmosphere and be committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  • Collaborate closely with kitchen staff, including cooks and chefs, to facilitate smooth service during busy periods.
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests with inquiries.
  • Ensure that all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of banquet events as needed, contributing to an organized dining experience.
  • Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks when necessary, demonstrating flexibility in duties.
  • Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems for order tracking and communication with the front-of-house staff.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is advantageous.
  • Experience in banquet service or hotel environments is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • A passion for culinary arts and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
