Meg Lonergan Interiors, a Houston based residential interior design firm seeks a project designer with at least 3-5 years experience in ground up new construction and full scale renovations to manage and execute all facets of high-end residential design for projects. As a Designer and Project Manager your role is to manage multiple projects from start to finish taking full accountability down to each detail.
Ideal candidates will be extremely organized, have strong communication skills, a positive attitude and be a team player who loves to collaborate but also works autonomously when needed.
Project Designer tasks will include, but are not limited to:
– Design Ideation and Initial Consultations
– Drawings and Floor Plan Development
– Create and manage project budget
– Coordinate, attend and lead client meetings
– Construction Administration: Provide diligent site supervision with a focus on design implementation and quality control. Proactively managing client and contractor communication
– Sourcing of Architectural Materials and Finishes + Furniture & Fittings
– Preparation of presentations and proposals, submitting to client
– Manage projects expediting through Studio Designer. Coordinate and manage deliveries, storage, purchases and installations in collaboration with Office Manager
– Vendor Communication
– On-site Installation and Site Visits
– Managing project schedules. Ensuring the accuracy, timely installation and quality of all aspects of a remodel and new construction projects

– Managing Junior Designers/Interns/ Assistants on the Project
– Work seamlessly with the Principal to manage, assign tasks, review, and motivate junior team members. Weekly/bi-weekly update calls.
– Applicants must be proficient on AutoCAD
– Knowledge of Studio Designer is preferred
