Job Description

Senior Director, Global Executive Recruiting – Engineering

The Senior Director, Global Executive Recruiting – Engineering is responsible for designing and executing an industry leading executive recruiting strategy that proactively identifies and engages transformative leaders to support ServiceNow's business priorities. As a recognized domain expert and thought leader, this individual will act as a trusted advisor to senior executives on top-level positions, while also motivating and guiding a high-performing team of recruiters. This leader will guarantee that executive search operations are efficient, forward-thinking, and consistently deliver exceptional outcomes. The position is responsible for surpassing recruitment goals, successfully attracting and onboarding top-tier engineering executives, and ensuring an excellent experience for candidates and stakeholders across the globe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a global executive recruiting strategy for engineering leadership roles, closely aligned with ServiceNow's business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Domain Expertise: Act as the organization's thought leader in executive recruiting, utilizing deep market insights and innovative methods to attract top-tier engineering talent.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and optimize processes for candidate discovery and management, integrating demand forecasting and workforce planning in partnership with business unit leaders. Ensure a "white glove" experience for both candidates and business stakeholders.
  • Technology & Analytics: Harness technology and analytics to drive recruiting efficiency and best practices, including workforce planning, capacity management, and funnel metrics. Demonstrate a strong interest and ability in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance recruiting outcomes, drive innovation, and deliver more effective talent solutions.
  • Succession & Pipelining: Collaborate with succession planning and HR partners to support robust external talent pipelines, enhancing ServiceNow's ability to fill engineering leadership vacancies swiftly and effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire, coach, and develop the global engineering executive recruiting team, fostering high performance, engagement, and retention.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Build consensus and work collaboratively across organizational boundaries, effectively influencing senior stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Culture & Brand: Serve as a cultural ambassador, aligning HR communications and experiences with ServiceNow's premium positioning.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Utilize strong sales abilities and superior negotiation skills to compete for top talent in a fast-paced, competitive market.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

Experience & Expertise

  • 10+ years of progressive executive recruiting experience, including leading executive recruiting functions in high-volume, global environments. Experience in both internal and external talent acquisition at top professional services firms and recognized attractors of top engineering talent.
  • Proven success in a global, multi-billion-dollar, high-growth technology organization, with a track record of influencing engineering/product-driven organizations and supporting culturally diverse, geographically distributed teams.
  • Deep understanding of global technology talent markets and leading companies in the sector, translating expertise into progressive talent acquisition strategies.

JV20

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $194,900 - $350,900, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
