Job Role:
The Station Supervisor is responsible for the safety, security, service delivery and a/c handling process in their station for AF and KL and, where applicable third parties during his/her shift. The Supervisor will keep track of the quality levels and the targets agreed upon. They will coordinate activities on his/her station towards the Station Manager. The Station Supervisor will handle responsibilities for the Station Management in case of his/her absence. In line with company policy and procedures the Station Supervisor manages the team of agents (Air France/KLM staff or third parties), performs administrative activities as needed that support the actual handling of flights, where applicable, and third parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Steers and supervises all handling activities (in case of self-handling) or coordinates with the agent (incase of outsourcing) to ensure a timely, safe and efficient flight handling process
- Responsible for all services related to all passenger handling activities incl. catering according to the AF and KL standards of safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate service recovery activities in case of irregularities
- Ensure the effective and on-time check-in, ticketing, boarding processes, in order to meet or exceed minimum operating standards
- Coordinate actions with appropriate departments after flight departure
- Ensure excellent customer service and proper baggage handling at arrival
- Conduct daily flight and incident briefings
- Regularly participate in meetings with management in order to express his/her own ideas for continued improvement of the station
- Ensures proper handling of all VIP customers according to company protocols
- Responsible for the calculation and creation of the station schedule
- Ensure that all monies collected are correctly reported and that any discrepancies are investigated
- Ensure that all federal and local security measures are adhered to (T.S.A., C.B.P., Police)
- Perform administrative activities that support the actual handling of flights for AF and KL and, where applicable, third parties.
- Ensure all ramp operations comply with FAA,ICAO,OSHA, and airline.
Requirements:
- Duty travel will be required on a regular basis to other stations such as SEA
- Thorough knowledge of the passenger handling process, aircraft handling process incl. cargo & technical process
- In possession of relevant certifications for aircraft handling and/or dangerous goods
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain professional composure in all circumstances
- Knowledge of airport infrastructure
- Advanced knowledge of the Air France and KLM emergency procedures
- In case of irregular operations should be ready to work longer hours than scheduled.
- French and/or Dutch speaking is a plus.
- Should have at least one year experience above and below wing and can handle activities autonomously.
- Must be available to work weekends based on operational needs
