Summary

The Sr. Director, International Product and Hardware for Genius retail and small business is responsible for managing the holistic needs of the Genius platform across international markets, ensuring regional requirements are balanced with a scalable, consistent core product.

 

This role serves as the bridge between regional market needs and the core Genius for small business platform, translating country-specific regulations, customer expectations, hardware constraints, and go-to-market requirements into platform-level capabilities and prioritization decisions, delivered with a high standard of quality and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Platform & International Ownership

  • Own the international product strategy for Genius retail and small business.

  • Manage the world-wide payment hardware strategy and roadmap, balancing regional device needs with a scalable Genius core platform.

  • Evaluate regional needs and determine whether they belong in core, configuration, or localized extensions.

  • Maintain clarity on global core vs. regional responsibility boundaries.

 

Regional Enablement & Market Readiness

  • Partner with regional teams to understand market-specific requirements.

  • Translate regional insights into clear product requirements and roadmap inputs.

  • Support international launches with product readiness and enablement.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with engineering to support scalable multi-market capabilities.

  • Collaborate with design to ensure localized experiences align with Genius standards.

  • Partner with compliance and legal teams on regional regulations.

  • Coordinate with delivery, QA, and support teams for rollout readiness.

 

Product Delivery & Execution

  • Lead backlog prioritization for international initiatives.

  • Manage cross-market dependencies, risks, and technical debt.

  • Serve as an escalation point during international rollouts.

  • Ensure strong documentation of platform and regional configurations.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years product management experience in SaaS, payments, POS, or commerce.

  • Experience supporting international or multi-market products.

  • Strong systems thinking and platform mindset.

  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies.

  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and documentation tools.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with small business POS or payments ecosystems.

  • Familiarity with international payments, hardware, and compliance.

  • Experience balancing global consistency with local needs.

  • Comfort working across time zones and cultures.
