You'll play a key role in our field operations by delivering timely preventative maintenance and emergency roadside repairs to our customers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site and roadside maintenance and repairs to Class 6-8 trucks and trailers
  • Handle scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
  • Respond to dispatched service requests and emergency roadside calls
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to:
  • Electrical systems, lighting, marker lights, and ABS
  • Brake systems, air brake systems, and wheel seals
  • Suspension components including airbags, struts, shocks, and tandems
  • Engines (gas/diesel), transmissions (manual/auto), and clutches
  • Air inflation systems, glad hands, and 5th wheel locking
  • Forced regen, derate issues, lockouts, and CEL (check engine light) diagnostics
  • Conduct road tests to ensure proper repairs and performance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs performed
  • Operate diagnostic tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely
  • Keep service truck clean and stocked; perform pre/post-trip inspections

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Diesel Technician on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers
  • Strong understanding of tractor/trailer systems and diesel mechanics
  • Proficiency with DOT inspections, air brakes, diagnostics, and electrical repairs
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a mobile field environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in using mobile devices, diagnostic apps, and email
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (must be 23+ to be covered by insurance)
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in variable weather conditions
  • This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions involving regular standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and lifting or carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
